WORKSHOPS & PROGRAMMING

The process of learning is collaborative between a student and their environment and extends beyond academic content. Families, schools and community programs are contexts that have the potential to foster resilience, which is promoted by building adaptive, self-reflective and coping skills. These contexts can provide fertile ground to nurture children and adolescents by not only providing a safe environment for individual expression but also creating opportunities for individuals to grow into their independence and self-reliance, to build confidence about their resilience against any new and shifting challenges they may face.

Examples of workshops include:

  • Sustainable classroom practices for differentiated learning
  • Applying mindfulness and positive psychology to teaching, learning or parenting
  • The neuroscience of learning
  • Understanding and interpreting psychoeducational reports
  • Goal-setting and habit building
  • Re-writing narratives about learning disabilities

Other services may include:

  • Case consultation with educators about specific students
  • Consultation with administrators about supportive and inclusive policies and procedures
  • Consultation for learning support programming and mental health support for students
